Obaidul Quader, newly elected General Secretary of Awami League, assured that he will now perform both duties assigned to him as road transport and bridges minister and general secretary of the ruling party.
He came up with the statement while addressing a view exchange meeting in Dhanmondi’s Priyanka Community Centre in the capital on Monday.
“Now I will monitor roads as road transport and bridges minister and look after the leaders and activists of my party as general secretary of Awami League”, said Obaidul Quader.
Vowing to meet AL President Sheikh Hasina’s agenda of next polls, Quader said he will be bringing qualitative changes in the organisation which will include discipline along the ranks.
On his plans for the party, Obaidul Quader said he will work on developing a strong teamwork, strengthen and expand communication to the grassroots level for the next polls.
Obaidul expected that all political parties will extend their assistance to him to do his duties.EditorDesk | Published On:October 24, 2016
